Expanding access, restoring dignity, and building pathways forward through community-based care, education, and support.
WHY IT MATTERS
Each year, individuals and families face compounding barriers, financial strain, lack of transportation, limited access to care, and food insecurity, that prevent them from stabilizing, completing education, and moving forward.
25% of healthcare students identify transportation as their primary barrier, a challenge that often impacts access to medical care, employment, and basic needs as well.
The Rise of Woman Foundation addresses these challenges through an integrated model that connects healthcare access, food support, transportation coordination, and workforce development.
By meeting people where they are and supporting the full scope of their needs, ROW helps individuals complete training, access care, maintain stability, and step into meaningful, sustainable paths forward.
ROW Foundation’s Community Wellness Clinic
COMMUNITY UPDATE – WINTER 2026
The ROW Foundation continues to expand its presence in Pinckney, Gregory, Hamburg Township, and surrounding rural communities throughout Livingston County through a growing network of community-based initiatives.
At the center of this work is the Community Wellness Clinic, which maintains a consistent monthly schedule and continues to see steady growth in participation. The clinic provides donation-based access to restorative and preventative wellness services that are often not covered by insurance, reducing financial barriers and offering a supportive entry point into care.
In parallel, the Foundation has launched and is actively developing its Food Initiative through the Pinckney Community Garden and local partnerships. This program supports access to fresh, nutrient-dense food while creating opportunities for community involvement, education, and direct distribution to individuals and families in need.
Recognizing that access extends beyond services alone, the Foundation also coordinates limited transportation support to assist residents in reaching medical appointments, clinic sessions, and essential resources. This remains a critical component in reducing barriers for individuals facing mobility or logistical challenges.
In addition, workforce development efforts continue through externship support and community-based learning opportunities, providing individuals with practical experience, skill development, and pathways toward employment and long-term stability.
Structured intake, attendance tracking, and program coordination systems are in place across initiatives to ensure accountability, consistency, and measurable impact.
The Foundation remains committed to responsible growth, strong community partnerships, and sound financial oversight through its five-member Board of Directors.
As participation and engagement continue to increase, the focus remains on strengthening infrastructure, expanding access, and maintaining the quality and integrity of all services provided.
We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our local community and partners who make this work possible.
